Three Muses Challenge Fowl Play

I think they took a wrong turn on the way to the chicken coop in the dark! Now the little hen on the outside is going to figure out how to break them out. Takes a female!
Please read the whole post. I have only just begun to learn Photoshop.
I had no intention of entering the challenge, just went to look at the Three Muses blog and see some of the work done for the challenge.
I just about fell over when I saw on the list a link to a creation  by terri d. at Pixels and Paste titled Harold and Lucy ! My husband's name is Harold, I am Lucy (Lucille but go by both).

My husband has relatives farming in Saskatchewan and we go there to visit at least once a year. I  always take pictures of the chickens, cows, kittens, barns, etc. We are known to them all as Harold and Lucy!
Terri wrote a cute little story to go with her wonderful digital creation. Go see!

Notice the lucky little hen on the outside of the fence?

Here's my original photo taken at the farm in Saskatchewan last year.
I used a Creative Commons picture found on Flickr for the background, chicken tracks were found on an image search google.

This is an amazing piece of artwork Lucy ..... and you are just now learning Photoshop! Wow!

I urge everyone to enlarge this, there is so much of interest to see, it's beautifully crafted and shows a wicked sense of humour.

Welcome Lucy to our blog. I shall be back to view more of your work very soon.

i am honored that you visited my blog and took the time to tell me your story. what a funny coincidence!!i actually laughed out loud as i was reading your story just now. do you have the same problem as my lucy when traveling with her husband? my husband is the worst. it's like he thinks the man police will revoke his man-card if he stops to ask for directions. he looks at me like i'm from another planet when i even suggest he stop to ask. funny stuff! anyway, getting back to you and your blog....i am blown away by your beginner photoshop skills!! i always find it so amazing how users can blend two or three photos together like you did. i am so glad you decided to participate in the three muses challenge this week. those three ladies are wonderful and make you feel like your family when you are there. i hope you will be a regular now so we can all share in your art. looking forward to seeing you in blogland often!!

Welcome to Three Muses, Lucy. Your entry is wonderful. When you read my "blurb" with my entry, you'll see I grew up with chickens. There was always one outside the fence! Thanks for joining in, and please come back next week. We've added you to our blog list!

Lucy, What a Great story about Harold & Lucy!!! I love your fun chicken piece, it reminds me a little bit of the 'Wizard of Oz'. I am so glad you found the Three Muses, I love doing their challenges & it's great to have a theme to get you inspired with your digital art. You're really catching on quickly, good job girl!! And also, how funny you guys know about Los Algodones, that means you're one of the snowbirds that come to Yuma in the winter. That's the best of both worlds!!! Bye for now....

The first thing I noticed was the hen outside the fence and I wondered if she was trying to get back in or was escaping from the boredom of the barnyard! What a great photo and what a fabulous treatment of it to convert it into a work of art with wonderful colours and textures. I enjoyed the story of your artistic journey from beginning to end and I smiled widely at the coincidence of Harold and Lucy. It is so good to see your work at the Muses. Please keep coming back!!

Wow, you're sure getting good...I'm Lucy's sister Marilyn, not a blogger but just had to comment how far she's come since the summer when she first started the blog and was experimenting with the first images on dominoes and scrabble tiles and selling at the market with me and our vintage linens..there's lots of pictures at the start of the blog. I'm impressed with your award....another thing, there's a blogger that commented named Martina....what a coincidence that's Lucy's middle name, not that common a name...after our grandmother, long gone...well, I must try to get more creative like my little sister! Luv you 2!
