I can't believe my last post was 2 weeks ago! I've been busy, also down with flu/cold, but I'm feeling better now and hopefully won't neglect my blogging!
The theme at Soartful Challenges this week is International Women's Week and like Jeanette I'm honoring motherhood.
We get some really interesting swirly clouds in our sunsets! I was just able to catch the end of what had been some really great formations..........
The pendant above was my second attempt. The choice of images was very limited so I picked the only one that looked "vintage"......I have TONS of images back home in Canada.....who knew I'd be doing this! Don't you love the use of scalloped foil (you solder over it) rather than the straight edge type?

Love your Soartful challenge, Lucy! And your pendants are gorgeous. I do love the scalloped foil.
Hi Lucy...so sorry you weren't feeling well, hope you are well on your way to feeling great. Your artwork on motherhood is beautiful...love the texture effect. I am impressed with your soldering...great job...these pendants are absolutely stunning. Gorgeous! Hugs, Gayle.
Love your soartful piece, Lucy, lovely digital collage & the sepia tone is perfect!
Beautiful pendants, too!
First, I'm so glad that you are feeling better. Sorry to hear that you've been sick.
Your creation for Soartful is just beautiful. I love the sepia and the texture. The image that you used is beautiful.
I love your pendants. I bet that was a fun class.
The sunset is stunning. I love the cactus poking up showing its arms in silhouette. Beautiful.
Thanks for being Soartful this week.
Lucy, I'm glad you're feeling better and blogging again. First, thanks for that gorgeous sunset pic. Wow, that is incredibly beautiful. Next, your piece on motherhood is gorgeous. What a tribute! And then, your soldering has made me want to go out and buy a soldering iron and some solder. I suppose there are all kinds of solder so maybe I should do research before buying. I love the scalloped piece but I also like the straight gobby (your words, not mine) piece. I'd wear either of them with pride.
They are fantastic!
Hope you're feeling better.
Your pendants are just fabulous! They hold a certain magical presence.. lovely.
