This would have been taken at 58 Sadler in St. Vital around 1953. That's Marilyn on the left, brother Jeff center, and me on the right. I don't look too happy!

Muggy Monday but the sun still shines!
Happy day! It is actually hot today! It hasn't clouded over and showered either! So, what did I do? A little bit of everything, not enough of some things, but I was quite ambitious with all that sunshine! I did get 4 more pints of raspberries preserved and still had some left to freeze and eat. We finished off (ate 'em up) that jar of dills I made last week, got another couple in the works. Oh, they are gooood!
Here is a picture I came across in my picture files that I forgot I had. It is my sister and I, we were probably around 4 and 5, there's 15 months between us, Marilyn being the oldest. Forgive my conceit, but don't we look cute?
I am on the left, Marilyn on the right. Click to enlarge.
Where on earth did we get those big straw hats? I remember well my cowboy hat that was bought on a trip to Portland, Oregon via train when I was around that age, but I don't recall that big sunhat at all!
We are dressed so cute in little dresses, if you click on the picture, you'll get a much better look at us. You even see our curls peeking out from the hats!
Oh, and the picture would have been taken at 58 Sadler Avenue, in the back yard. There's a picture in an older post of the house.
It is amazing what you remember from early childhood. I have lots and lots of memories of living and playing at that address that we moved away from when I was around 7 years old.
Well, I am going outside to enjoy what is left of this wonderful summer evening.
